Encourage Yourself!
Happy Friday! You know I usually write as I’m inspired and it’s always funny what inspires me. My sister is in the hospital and after praying for her I wanted to send her a few faith confessions or declarations to make while she fights for her health.
Well when I tried to take a picture of the confession (I was not about to type all of that. 🙂 )
My phone said it was too full. I didn’t have enough space.
Well with over 3000 pictures I can understand that. So to make room for new pictures, I uploaded all of the pictures from my phone to one of my computers.
Once they were uploaded an app on my phone made a quick video of the top 10 or so and when I tell you just looking at those pictures fly by encouraged my soul! I begin to smile and reflect and even rejoice at all I had accomplished in such a short amount of time.
Obviously the album didn’t get every accomplishment but being reminded of what I had done so far was exactly what I needed.
It reminded me number one that I have touched a lot of lives through my books, and conferences and it also made me realize how my family has been there every step of the way.
Having moments of reflection are so important because sometimes you can feel “late”. Late for an important date! Late for your dreams… Do you feel me? Wanting to do so much but sometimes forgetting what you’ve already done.
Reflecting doesn’t give you permission to sit on your laurels. Instead it should fire you up to do more. It should inspire you that you are an incredible being capable of doing even more. I know that’s what happened to me.
This Friday post is to encourage you to encourage yourself. Pull out some old pictures, old cards, anything that can remind you of your greatness and what you are capable of . You are not late. Catch the next plane, train, or automobile and continue on your journey!
